Reminisce helps readers celebrate the good times through true stories and vintage photographs. Any appropriate photo or memory is welcome, as long as it illustrates the ups and downs, the thrills, the struggles and the heart-warming tales of the past so we can cherish them today.
Our editorial style is relaxed and conversational, so please write your memory the way you’d relate it to a friend. We invite people like you to tell your own stories. As a result, readers who are eager to share their memories write the bulk of the articles we feature. We rarely use freelance-written material.
Because our features don’t often run more than 500 words, we do not read lengthy submissions or books. We prefer a first-person, I-remember-when angle and rarely accept features written in third-person. Also, please don’t send your article to multiple magazines at one time. We want the stories we feature to be exclusive to Reminisce.
If you would like us to consider your story, short memory, photos, illustrations or other miscellaneous materials, please read the complete list of Contributor’s Guidelines.
To be considered, email your submission to firstname.lastname@example.org
After you send us photos or articles, please be patient. We receive a lot of material, and we read it all. Our small staff can’t respond personally to most inquiries and letters, but we will always let you know if we publish your submission.
If you would like to send us feedback about Reminisce, Reminisce Extra, or our website, email email@example.com.
If you have a question about your subscription to Reminisce or Reminisce Extra, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call us toll-free at (888) 859-7838.
Thank you for taking the time to send your memories to Reminisce.
We need your help! We’re currently looking for stories around these subjects—do you have one to share?
Summers are usually best spent near the water. Gathering the gang to hang out at the pool is a right of passage for many of us. Tell us about how you spent your summers in and out of the pool. Was there a community pool where everyone met? Were you lucky enough to have your own pool? Or was your pool a watering hole down at the creek?
Write “Pool Parties” on your letter or e-mail those stories here.
Do you remember driving to the forest preserve for your dad or mom’s company picnic? Did they have games, prizes, and treats for the kids? Or maybe you went to a park or a zoo with the family. Did everyone dress in red, white and blue for the event? Give us a peek at the good times you had.
Write “Patriotic Picnics” on your letter or e-mail those stories here.
Who remembers pinboys setting up the bowling pins at the start of the game? Or are you from the era of automatic resets? Did you belong to a league? Did your team have bowling shirts? Is your nickname “The Dude”? We want to hear your funniest story about throwing a ball down the lanes.
Write “Bowling” on your letter or e-mail those stories here.
