When it comes to Christmas presents, there’s no better salesman than Santa himself. We’re sharing some of St. Nick’s most memorable vintage ads and sales pitches from the past century. Ho, ho, ho!

Our most prized family ventage Christmas item is a 2o inch tall Santa which looks exactly like the one pictured for Coke in picture 5. My father brought him home to his first granddaughter in 1958 . She is now 55 and we have a photo of each of my three children and four grand children when they could sit up on the hearth hugging Santa. We did not have a fireplace when it was my third child’s turn so I made one out of cardboard boxes and red brick printed crepe paper. I feel sure it will be the hottest contested item from my household when I am gone and for sure the most worn !
