Stocking hung on Christmas Eve

Girl hung her stocking by the chimney with care before Santa's visit in the 1920s.

A little girl hangs her Christmas stocking in pajamas.“My father took this photo of me on Christmas Eve 1921, when I was 3,” explains Doris Tonry of Elyria, Ohio.

“The clock says 8:30. Time for bed.”

What a great picture! My mom was too poor to have any Christmas presents or pictures. I wish I had some photos, now that she is gone.

I was wondering if anyone remembers a story about a little boy that goes to the store with his older brother to look at a rifle that the older brother is saving to buy. The older brother ends up buying a wagon for his little brother instead of buying the rifle. My father wants a copy of this story, but does not remember the year, month, issue of the Reminisce Magazine addition it was in! Thanks for any help!
